Rose City Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers are hosting WinterCon—a cozy, half-day convention—at Sellwood Community House.

Come in from the cold and spend an evening with books, panels, fans, and writers.

Enjoy a live fantasy podcast, local boardgame maker playtesting, medieval swords, and in-depth panels.

Attendance is free. Sign up for individual panels to ensure your spot.

Reservations and attendance

Where can I find the list of events?
After you register and log in, return this page to reserve your spot for a specific session.
How do I reserve a spot?
Open a session and select Reserve. If it is full, join the waitlist and you will be notified if a seat opens up.
Do I need reservations to attend?
Most sessions have limited capacity. Reserved attendees are admitted first, then remaining seats are filled at the door. Open areas do not require reservations.

Sellwood Community House, 1436 SE Spokane St, Portland, OR 97202. Doors open at 4:30 pm.
Is the venue ADA accessible?
There is an ADA entrance on SE 15th Ave. From that entrance, there are two steps down to the main floor bathrooms and kitchen, and the upstairs is not accessible.

Food and drink

May I bring my own food and drinks?
You may bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Pre-made charcuterie boxes may be ordered in advance from Sellwood Community House. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Community guidelines

May I bring young children?
WinterCon is designed for adults and does not include programming for young children. Well-behaved teenagers are welcome with a guardian.
May I attend if I have been drinking?
Please arrive ready to participate. Attendees who are intoxicated will be asked to leave.
May I bring weapons or dangerous items?
For everyone's safety, please leave weapons and other dangerous items at home.
